Connecting your Shopify store to Later Influence™ (formerly Mavrck) allows you to quickly generate, track, and send product codes to creators. Shopify Codes are available for all Later Influence customers.

With Shopify Codes, you can:

• Set custom discount values with free shipping and expiration dates
• Automatically send creators their unique, one-time code based on their workflow stage
• Track redemptions for each creator
• Check order numbers and fulfillment statuses

…all without leaving Later.

Connect Your Shopify Store

Before you can create Shopify Codes in Later, you’ll need to connect your Shopify store by installing the Later Shopify app:

1. From the left sidebar, select Settings
2. Select the Setup tab
3. Select Shopify Settings from the sidebar
4. Select Install Later App on Shopify:
   
   
   • You’ll be taken to Shopify app store to complete the installation
5. From the Shopify app store, select Install
6. Follow the prompts to authenticate and connect the Later Shopify app to your store

After the Later Shopify app is installed, you’ll be redirected back to Later and can start creating codes. Once your shop has been connected, the Shopify Settings page in Later Influence will look like this:

Create Shopify Codes

Shopify Codes can be created as campaign incentives as follows:

1. Create a new campaign, or navigate to an existing campaign
   • If editing an existing campaign, it must be in draft mode
2. Select the Setup tab
3. Select the Incentives sub-tab
4. Select the + icon near the lower-right to create a new incentive:
   
5. Next to Incentive Type, select Shopify Code:
   
6. Enter an Internal Name (up to 30 characters) to be shown in Later Influence
   • This won’t be visible in Shopify
7. Enter a Code Prefix (up to 20 characters) that you haven’t used in any previous campaigns
   
   Note: Shopify Code incentives generate two codes for the influencer to use: one for the discount value, and a separate one for free shipping. Both codes will begin with this prefix followed by a unique set of letters and numbers. The shipping code will also have -FREESHIP appended at the end.
8. Under Value enter the maximum dollar value of the code (not a percentage)
   • Don’t include the shipping value in this number—that’ll be covered by a separate code
     
9. Under Discount Type, select what the discount value applies to out of the following options:
   • Amount off order + free shipping (default): The code can be applied to anything in your Shopify store
   • Amount off products + free shipping: The code can be applied to certain products only
     • You’ll need to enter the Shopify product IDs that this code can be applied to, separated by commas
   • Amount off collections + free shipping: The code can be applied to products from certain Shopify collections only
     • You’ll need to enter the Shopify collection IDs that this code can be applied to, separated by commas
10. Under Start Date, select when you want the codes to become valid (redeemable): 
    • Select Individual codes are valid when created to make codes redeemable as soon as they’re generated
    • Select All codes are valid as of the same date and then select the date on which all codes will become redeemable (regardless of when they’re generated)
      • If a start date is selected, the codes will become valid at 12:01 am UTC on that date
11. Under End Date, select when you want the codes to stop being valid (i.e., expire):
    • Select All codes never expire to make the codes valid indefinitely
    • Select All codes expire on the same date to invalidate all codes on a specific future date
      
      • If an expiration date is selected, the codes will expire at 11:59 pm UTC on that date
12. Under When will this code be generated and sent to the influencer?, select whether you’d like codes to be sent before content creation (in the Pre-Payment stage) or after (in the Post-Payment stage)

13. Click Create Shopify Code Incentive
    • If needed, you’ll be prompted to fix any errors before the incentive can be created

Once created, your Shopify Code incentive will be listed as an incentive for that campaign under Setup > Incentives:

Generate Shopify Codes

Shopify Codes can be generated at the campaign-level, or for specific influencer(s).

Influencer-specific

Follow the steps below to generate Shopify Codes for an individual influencer:

1. Locate the influencer in the Workflow tab of the relevant campaign
2. Select the arrow icon to the right of their name to open their campaign details
3. Select the Incentives tab of their campaign details
4. Click Generate Codes:
   
   
   • If this button is grayed out, it means the influencer isn’t at the correct workflow stage yet—to activate the button, manually set the incentive to ready by clicking the ellipsis (...) > Set to ready
5. Confirm the details in the modal are correct
6. Click Generate Shopify Codes
7. The generated codes will be displayed—click Done to exit the modal
   • You can always refer back to this tab to reference the influencer’s unique codes, as well as in your Shopify admin (under Discounts)

Campaign-level

If you have many influencers in a campaign, it may be useful to generate their Shopify Codes in bulk. You can do this by following the steps below:

1. Navigate to the Workflow tab of the relevant campaign
2. Select the workflow stage for which you want to fulfill the codes
   • This will be either Pre-Payment or Post-Payment, depending on what you selected when creating the code
3. To select all of the influencers at this stage, select the checkbox at the top of the list
   • Alternatively, select the checkboxes individually next to the influencers for which you want to generate codes
4. Select the Fulfill button
5. Confirm the details in the modal are correct
6. Select Generate Shopify Codes
7. Click Done
   • To see an individual influencer’s codes, navigate to the Incentives tab in their campaign details and click View Details
   • You can also see the codes in your Shopify admin (under Discounts)

Edit Shopify Codes

Shopify Codes can only be edited in Later Influence before the first code is generated. If you haven’t generated a code yet, you can edit the Shopify incentive in Later as follows:

1. Navigate to the campaign, which must be in draft mode
2. Select the Setup tab
3. Select the Incentives sub-tab
4. Select the pencil icon next to the Shopify incentive:
   

If the pencil icon isn’t there, it means a code has already been generated. After the first code has been generated, you can only edit the code from your Shopify admin (not in Later). For details, see Shopify’s instructions for editing discounts →
