This article is a conceptual guide. It explains how the campaign workflow connects to other key features in Later Influence — messaging, applications, incentives, tracking links, and reporting. Understanding these connections helps you design workflows that save time and reduce manual steps.
Message Templates
Message templates are tied directly to workflow stages. When a creator enters a stage, a related message can send manually or automatically based on your setup.
This keeps communication consistent without requiring you to write individual messages for each creator. Merge tags pull in personalized data — names, due dates, tracking links — automatically.
How to set it up:
- In Later Influence, open your campaign and select Setup.
- Select Message Templates.
- Select the ellipsis icon, then select Edit
- Select Delivery
- Choose Automatic: Stage Entry and select the relevant stage, or choose Automatic: Date Based for date-triggered sends.
-
Select Save.
Tip: You can also schedule messages based on due dates — for example, send a draft reminder two days before the draft due date.
For full instructions, see Workflow Automation.
Campaign Applications
The Invited and Applied stages power the application flow. When these stages are enabled, creators can submit applications through a public or invite-only link. Their responses feed directly into their profiles in the workflow, where you can review them before accepting or declining.
For setup instructions, see Customizing a Campaign Application.
Incentives
Pre-Payment and Post-Payment stages control when incentives are released. When all of a creator's incentives at a payment stage are fulfilled through Stripe or Tango Card, they're automatically promoted to the next stage.
This connects payment processing directly to workflow movement — no manual promotion needed when using an integration.
For setup instructions, see Assigning Incentives: Create and Configure Creator Rewards.
Tracking Links
Tracking links are generated per creator in campaigns and can be distributed automatically through message templates. They're available in the Tracking Links tab of each creator's Influencer Campaign Details (ICD).
Clicks are tracked at the creator, campaign, and program level. For setup instructions, see Tracking Links.
Reporting
Creators only appear in campaign performance reports after they've entered the Participants phase. The workflow stage a creator is in also determines whether their content is actively binding and whether their metrics are refreshing.
For more detail, see Campaign Performance Report.
