Sometimes a creator’s post can be bound to the wrong campaign — usually when they reuse a binding hashtag from a past campaign. If this happens, you can move the content to the correct campaign.
Step 1: Find the content in the current (incorrect) campaign
- Open the campaign and go to the Workflow tab
- Locate the creator in the workflow
- Click the ← arrow next to their name to open their campaign details
- Go to the Content tab
- Find the thumbnail of the post you want to move.
Step 2: Unbind the content
- Slowly hover over the bottom left corner of the image
- A pop-up will appear (see GIF below)
- Click Unbind from this campaign.
Step 3: Re-bind content to the correct campaign
- Open the campaign where the content should belong.
- Go to the Workflow tab.
- Locate the creator in the workflow
- Click the ← arrow next to their name to open their campaign details
- Select the Content tab.
- Click + Add Content.
- Complete the content details:
- Type → Select the platform (e.g., Instagram, TikTok, YouTube).
- Post date → Enter the date the content was published.
-
Content source → Either:
- Choose the post from the feed that appears, OR
- Paste the direct URL to the post.
- Performance metrics → Add/update likes, comments, views, etc.
- Click Save.
The post will now appear in the Content section of the correct campaign.
FAQ: Fixing Incorrectly Bound Content
Why did content bind to the wrong campaign?
Most often, this happens when a creator reuses a binding hashtag from an older campaign. Binding works automatically, so Later Influence will attach the post to the first matching campaign it detects.
What happens if I don’t move the content?
If content stays in the wrong campaign: Reporting (impressions, engagements, ROI) will be inaccurate. Incentives (payments, product fulfillment) may not trigger properly. The creator’s performance history will be tied to the wrong campaign.
Can I prevent this from happening in the future?
Yes. Always assign a unique binding hashtag per campaign to avoid overlap. Avoid recycling hashtags across multiple campaigns.
Do I lose metrics if I unbind and re-bind content?
No. Metrics already collected (likes, comments, views) remain visible when you re-bind the content, but it may take a few hours for updated API data to sync.
What if the creator never used the binding hashtag?
You’ll need to manually bind the content by adding the post URL and performance metrics yourself.
Can I bulk-move content between campaigns?
No. Content must be unbound and re-bound individually.
