In some cases, you may wish to have influencers submit a proposal for your collaboration. Enabling the Rate and/or Concept features in a campaign prompts influencers who apply to submit a unique concept for the content they will create in the campaign and a rate for the amount they would like to be paid.
When an influencer completes the campaign application, a cash incentive is assigned to them in the amount they quoted, which can be edited later on to reflect negotiations.
This article outlines the incentive setup process facilitated by the Rate and Concept features. For additional detail about the overall feature, see Requesting Rate and/or Concept from Influencers.
Enable Rate and/or Concept and Configure Incentives
- Navigate to the Setup tab of the campaign.
- Open the Application sub-tab.
- Scroll past the application preview module to toggle on Require Concept and/or Require Rate:
- Select the fulfillment method for rate incentives, either offline or using the PayPal/Stripe integration, if enabled.
- Select the fulfillment stage, the workflow stage when payments will be ready to fulfill, either before or after content creation.
Review Rate and Concept submissions
- Open the Applied stage of the campaign workflow.
- Click on an influencer's profile image to open the lightbox.
- Review submissions at the top of the page.
- Use the arrow icons or left-right arrow keys to toggle through all influencers in the Applied stage.
If an influencer re-submits the campaign application, the rate and/or concept in the lightbox will be updated to the latest version.
A record of each time an influencer submitted the application, including each rate provided, is included in the History tab of the influencer's campaign details. To view this record, locate an influencer in the workflow and click the arrow icon to expand their campaign details.
Curating influencers
If you accept an influencer's application, the rate incentive will be readied for fulfillment when they reach the relevant workflow stage.
If you reject an influencer's application by dropping them from the campaign, the rate incentive that was set up will not be readied for fulfillment.
Edit rate incentives to reflect negotiations
If you accept an influencer's application but negotiate with them to a different payment amount, the incentive that was set up automatically can be edited to reflect the correct amount.
Make sure to edit payment amounts before you accept influencers into the campaign or begin fulfilling incentives.
Edit rate incentives individually
- Open the Applied stage of the campaign workflow.
- Locate the relevant influencer and click the arrow icon to open their campaign details.
- Open the Incentives tab of their campaign details.
- Click the ... icon to the right of the relevant incentive and select Edit Incentive.
- Enter the negotiated amount in the Value field and click Save.
Edit rate incentives in bulk
Rate incentive amounts can also be edited in bulk using the incentive import process, if necessary.

See Importing Incentive Information for additional detail.
Appearance to influencers
Influencers cannot view their Rate and/or Concept submission(s) once they have submitted the campaign application. Influencers can apply to the same campaign any number of times and update the submission, but their previous entry will not be visible to them.
Once influencers are accepted into the campaign, rate incentives are displayed the same way as other cash incentives, including a description and the value amount in the influencer campaign manager.
For additional detail on cash incentives, see PayPal Incentives, Stripe Incentives, or Offline Cash Incentives as applicable.
