Offline cash incentives allow you to track and manage payments that are sent outside of Later Influence (e.g., bank transfer, PayPal). Unlike Stripe incentives, which are paid directly through the platform, offline incentives rely on your brand’s own payment process. They’re useful if:

• Your finance team prefers to pay creators outside of Later.
• You don't want to use Stripe.
• You want to track costs and statuses in the platform, while fulfilling payments externally.

How Offline Cash Incentives Work

• Tracking only: Later Influence records incentive details (type, value, cost, fulfillment stage) but does not send the payment.
• Flexible delivery: You choose the payment method (PayPal, ACH, wire transfer, mailed check, etc.).
• Workflow integration: Incentives can be tied to workflow stages (e.g., Pre-Payment, Post-Payment) to keep reporting and creator expectations consistent.

Creating Offline Cash Incentives

You can set up offline cash incentives in two ways:

Campaign-level

Create the same incentive for all creators participating in the campaign.

1. Create a new campaign (or open an existing campaign in Draft mode).
2. Go to Setup → Incentives.
3. Click the + icon, then select Offline.
4. Enter the payment amount in the Value field.
5. Select the fulfillment workflow stage (Pre-Payment or Post-Payment), or leave blank.
6. Click Save.

Creator-specific

You can also add or adjust offline incentives at the creator level:

1. Open the Workflow tab in your campaign.
2. Click the |← arrow next to a creator’s name to open their profile.
3. Select the Incentives tab.
4. Click + Add Incentive → choose Cash → Offline.
5. Enter the amount and fulfillment workflow stage (Pre-Payment or Post-Payment)
6. Save your changes.

Rate-Based Incentives

If your application form includes a Rates question, creators can propose their own fees.

Later will automatically create a cash incentive record with their quoted rate. To track it as offline, set the Payment Method → Offline.

Common Questions

Can I change the value of an offline cash incentive later?

Yes, open the Workflow tab in your campaign then:

1. Click the |← arrow next to the creator’s name to open their profile.
2. Go to the Incentives tab. Locate the offline incentive you want to edit
3. Click (...) to edit and adjust

How do I mark an offline payment as completed?

1. Open the Workflow tab in your campaign.
2. Click the |← arrow next to the creator’s name to open their profile.
3. Go to the Incentives tab. Locate the offline incentive you’ve assigned.
4. Once you’ve sent the payment outside the platform, click Mark as Fulfilled to update the status in Later Influence.

Does Later Influence process offline cash payments?

No. All offline payments (PayPal, ACH, bank transfer, etc.) must be made outside of Later Influence. The platform only tracks amounts, timing, and fulfillment.
