Once your campaign is live and influencers have received their posting instructions, they will begin to create the content required for your campaign.
Later collects most content created by influencers automatically, but given the unique API limitations and restrictions set in place by social media platforms, some content types must be self-reported by influencers.
Automatic Content Binding
The following types of content can be bound automatically to live campaigns:
- Instagram Posts
- Instagram Reels
- Instagram Stories*
- Pinterest Posts
- TikTok Posts**
For content to pull in automatically, the influencer creating content must:
- Be accepted into the campaign
- Use the correct binding hashtag in the caption of their post
- Have an active account connection for the network they are posting on
* The following conditions must also be met in order for Instagram Story content to be pulled into the platform:

Influencer's account connection is active when the story is live
Tip: Send influencers a reminder to reconnect their accounts before story content is due.- Highlighted Stories can't be bound after the initial 24 hour live period

Binding hashtag is included as text in the Instagram story caption
- Using the hashtag sticker feature will prevent the story from binding automatically
** TikTok posts must be submitted through their unique link in the campaign manager or be linked retroactively. For influencer-facing instructions, see Publish TikTok Content For Campaigns.
Paused and archived campaigns don't collect additional content.
Automatic Metric Updates
The metrics associated with automatically-bound content continue to update for some time when the campaign is live and the influencer's account connection is active.
Later will continue to update the performance data of content for at least 1 week (with the exception of Instagram Stories) after it has been bound. The specific time frames for different post types are listed below:
- Instagram Post: 1 week
- Instagram Reel: 1 week
- Instagram Story: 1 day (since all Instagram Stories expire after 24 hours)
- Pinterest Posts: 90 days
- TikTok Posts: 3 weeks
Paused and archived campaigns don't update content metrics. Self-reported metrics do not update.
Self-Reported Content
Due to API limitations, the following content types are added to the platform via the influencer self-report content flow:
- YouTube Shorts & Videos
- Facebook Posts
- X (formerly Twitter) Posts
- Twitch Streams
- Snapchat Stories
- LinkedIn Posts
- High-resolution Images & Videos
- Blog Posts
- Product Reviews
The self-report content flow can also be used to collect high-resolution photos and videos created by influencers to be repurposed for your marketing goals, without being posted on any social media platform.
Self-reporting content is a simple and quick process for both marketers and influencers.
- Marketer sends influencers a link to self-report their content
- Influencer uses link to upload their media and enter performance metrics
- Self-reported content is available in the platform alongside automatically-collected content

Campaign Workflow Stages
Although the platform will bind content for influencers who are in any stage of the workflow past Applied, there are several stages designed specifically for the content creation process:
- Draft & Draft Review: Influencers in these stages are in the process of draft review (optional).
- Content Creation: Influencers in this stage are ready to create content. The influencer deliverables in campaign setup have not been completed yet.
- Post Review: Influencers in this stage have completed the deliverables, but you must approve before they are promoted to the Post-Payment or Complete stage (optional).
