Tracking links let you measure clicks — and optionally conversions — that creators drive to your website. Each creator in a campaign gets a unique link. When a viewer selects it, the click is recorded in Later Influence.
For a conceptual overview of how tracking links and conversions work, see Clicks and Conversions Overview. To set up conversion tracking, see Conversion Tracking Setup.
Create Tracking Links
Tracking links can be created at the campaign level (one destination URL applies to all creators) or at the creator level (a unique destination URL per creator).
Campaign-Level Links
- In Later Influence, open your campaign and select Setup → Deliverables
- Select Add Deliverables → Tracking Link
- Enter the destination URL and name
- Select Save
Unique tracking links are generated automatically for each creator when they're promoted past the Applied stage. If you add a campaign-level link after creators are already in the campaign, trigger link generation by either sending a message containing the tracking link merge tag, or moving creators back to Applied and re-promoting them.
Creator-Level Links
- In Later Influence, open your campaign and select the Workflow tab
- Locate the creator and select the arrow icon to open their ICD
- Select the Tracking Links tab
- Select + Add Tracking Link
- Enter the destination URL and any labels
- Select Save
Creator-level links are generated immediately on save.
Edit or Archive Tracking Links
Tracking links can't be deleted, but they can be archived. To edit or archive a link:
Campaign-level: go to Setup → Deliverables, then select the pencil icon to edit or the archive icon to archive.
Creator-level: open the creator's ICD, select the Tracking Links tab, then select the pencil or archive icon.
Note: Archived links stop working immediately and can't be reactivated. If links have already been shared with creators, notify them that the link is inactive and provide a replacement.
Distribute Tracking Links
Via message templates: a merge tag is created for each campaign-level tracking link. Insert it into a message template or a one-off message — when sent, it populates as each creator's unique link.
Via the Campaign Manager: creators can view their unique tracking links in their Campaign Manager under the Tracking Links section. The All Tracking Links merge tag populates all links associated with a creator, including both campaign-level and creator-specific links.
Report on Tracking Links
Clicks are not attributed to individual pieces of content — they're attributed to the tracking link itself, regardless of where the creator shared it.
To compare performance across platforms or content types, create separate tracking links with the same destination URL and different labels or UTM parameters (for example, brand.com/summer-sale and brand.com/summer-sale?utm_medium=tiktok).
