Sending products from your brand is one of the best ways to incentivize influencers.
Product gifting can be used to send influencers the items they will feature in their content, or to reward ambassadors and micro-influencers after they've posted about your brand.
For a complete overview of incentive options, see Incentives Overview.
Product Incentive Setup

There are two ways to create product incentives. Click each option for step-by-step instructions.

Setup form
When you create a product incentive, the setup form includes the following fields. Click on a field for more information.
Incentive Type: Product Product Name: Description shown to influencers in the ICM Value & Cost:The setup form for product incentives includes fields to enter both the retail value and actual cost. If you are sending products from your own brand, the cost to you is typically lower than the retail value. The cost and value of product incentives are not shown to influencers. Only the cost field is used for cost-reporting purposes. See Incentive & Cost Reporting for additional detail. Fulfillment:The Fulfillment field allows you to automate the process of "Readying" incentives, which is a prerequisite for them to be fulfilled. When influencers enter the workflow stage selected in the Fulfillment field, their incentives are automatically set to the Ready fulfillment status. The Fulfillment field is optional. If your workflow does not include payment stages or you wish to Ready incentives manually, leave the Fulfillment field empty. For a complete overview of fulfillment options, see Incentive Fulfillment. |
Tracking Numbers
Shipment tracking numbers can be attached to product incentives once they are created.
Tracking numbers are presented to influencers as a clickable link in the ICM, which directs to the Google results page for the tracking number. Major shipping providers (UPS, USPS, FedEx) auto-populate shipping information on this page.
Tracking numbers can also be shared with influencers in messages using the product tracking number merge tag, which is available when at least one incentive in the campaign features a tracking number. When sent in messages, the tracking number is included as regular text.
Tracking numbers can be added in bulk or individually.
Add tracking numbers to multiple incentives
- Once incentives have been assigned to influencers, export the incentives from the Incentives tab by filtering for the campaign and clicking the export icon.
- In the exported CSV file, add tracking numbers to the Tracking Number column in the appropriate rows.
- Save the updated spreadsheet as a CSV file.
- In the Incentives tab, click the upload icon and upload the file containing tracking numbers.
- All incentives that were updated in the file will now contain tracking numbers.
Add a tracking number to an individual incentive
- Locate the relevant incentive in the Incentives tab or the influencer's campaign details.
- Click the ⓘ icon next to the incentive to open its details.
- Click the Setup tab of the incentive details.
- Edit the tracking number field and click Save.
Product Incentive Fulfillment
The campaign process makes it easy to collect and export influencer addresses to ship products using external processes.
There are three key steps to fulfill product incentives: collecting and exporting influencer information in Later Influence™ (formerly Mavrck), and sending shipments outside the platform.
Collecting influencer information
When influencers apply for campaigns and/or confirm their participation, they provide the necessary shipping information.
The contact info form on the campaign application includes fields for shipping address and phone number. Survey questions can also be added to gather custom data points, like sizes and product preferences. See Customizing A Campaign Application for additional information.
The process of confirming participation, wherein accepted influencers are asked to confirm that they will participate and review their shipping information is correct, is optional but strongly recommended for campaigns that include product incentives. See Confirming Participation for additional information.
Influencers can also manage their contact information and survey questions using the influencer campaign manager (ICM) if applicable.
Exporting influencer information
Once you have confirmed the influencers who will participate in the campaign and receive products, export their information for shipping.
There are two options to export shipping information: the campaign workflow or the Incentives tab.
Exporting from the workflow is recommended for most cases while exporting from the Incentives tab can be used to export information for multiple campaigns at once.
Both export options produce a CSV file, with columns containing address information and survey question responses. Incentive exports also include additional columns for incentive details.
Click each option for step-by-step instructions.
