Search Databases
There are two databases in the platform to search for influencers, the Influencer Index and your unique My Members database.
- Influencer Index: Later Influence's global database of influencer profiles, available to all users.
- My Members: Influencers who have opted in to collaborate with your program.
To search influencers in the Influencers Index, open the Influencers tab of the main menu and set the Data Source to Influencer Index.
To search influencers in your Members database, open the Influencers tab of the main menu and set the Data Source to My Members, or use the header search bar to open a specific member's profile.
Keyword Search
Use keywords to search for influencers by topics, hashtags, locations, and more. Search results are based on influencer profile details, including Instagram bios and posts.
- Name
- Social network handles
- Email address
- Hashtags
- Locations
- Keywords
- Emojis
For example, searching for #lifestyle, @BrandName, or 'Boston, MA' will return influencers that have used any of these tags at least once in the past year.
By default, hashtag and keyword searches utilize "or" logic, meaning if you search for multiple hashtags or keywords in a single search, you'll see influencers that hit on any of those keywords or hashtags.
Note: AI Search only applies to searches containing a single term. Searches with multiple terms will override the algorithm and prioritize your entered keywords instead. If your search term is a multi-word phrase, contain it in double quotes.
You can make several modifications to keyword search terms to customize your queries, such as required terms, excluded terms, significance, and partial matches.
See Keyword Search Options for complete details.
Similar Search
You can also use Later Influence search to find similar influencers.
To run a similar search, simply enter "similar:" before an Instagram handle. The influencer you start with must already be in the Influencer Index to return results.
Example queries
- Similar:@handle1
- Similar:@handle1,@handle2
- Similar:handle1
- Similar:handle1,handle2
Formatting notes for similar search:
- Do not include any spaces in the query.
- To search for multiple handles, separate them via commas with no spaces.
- @ symbols are not necessary – the search will work with or without them.
Filters
Demographics
All demographic data points associated with an influencer, including:
- Age
- Gender
- Ethnicity
- Location (City/State/Country)
- Topics
- Custom influencer properties
Age, gender, and location may be programmatically assigned or self-reported.
Ethnicity and influencer properties are self-reported by influencers and can only be used when the data source is set to My Members.
Content topics are programmatically assigned.
Networks
Filter influencers using the social networks associated with their profiles.
For each network, you can filter for influencers who have an account, then filter among those by follower count.
For Instagram, Pinterest, and Facebook, you can also filter by average engagements and engagement rate on that network.
For TikTok, you can also filter by whether or not a creator is a part of the TikTok Creator Marketplace.
Audience
Filter influencers using their audiences' demographic data to precisely target your desired audience.
Audience data is comprised of two sources: Instagram Audience Insights, for influencers with authenticated Instagram Business accounts, and a third-party platform that aggregates insights from a variety of sources to give the best available prediction of an influencer's audience.
Learn more about each of these sources below:
Audience data is not available for all influencers.
Audience Authenticity is also included in this filter set. Learn more about Later Influence's authenticity flagging system here: Explaining the Audience Authenticity Flag
Lists
Filter search results using your own lists of influencers. Learn more about lists here: Adding Influencers to a List.
Performance
Search influencers who have participated in at least one of your campaigns by their performance. Lifetime performance is based on all campaigns an influencer has participated in within your program.
- Lifetime cost per engagement (CPE)
- Lifetime cost per 1,000 impressions (CPM)
- Lifetime cost per post (CPP)
