Sending Messages
How do I message creators in bulk?
From the Workflow tab in your campaign, select the creators you want to message using their checkboxes, then select Send Message. Choose a template, compose a custom message, or insert a canned response.
Can I message creators outside a campaign?
Yes. Select Messages from the left sidebar, then select New Message to start a thread not tied to any campaign. Add CC recipients as needed.
Do messages reach creators outside Later Social?
Yes. Messages are delivered to the email address linked to the creator's account.
Can I attach files to messages?
Only in new messages and replies — not in templates. The total size limit for a message plus attachments is 25 MB.
Can I recall or edit a message after it's sent?
No. Once sent, a message can't be recalled or edited. Send a follow-up to correct it.
Automation
Why didn't my automated message send?
Check that the delivery method is set to Automatic (not Manual), confirm the creator entered the correct stage or has a due date set, and verify the template isn't disabled.
Why didn't my merge tags populate?
Merge tags only populate if data exists for that field. If a creator has no due date set, {{due_date}} will be blank. Also check that you're using merge tag syntax {{}} and not placeholder syntax [] — placeholders never auto-populate.
Can I set multiple reminders for the same deadline?
Yes. Duplicate the template and set different timing on each copy (for example, 3 days before, 1 day after).
How can I test templates before they go live?
Add yourself as a test creator: open the campaign's application link in a new browser tab, create a Later Social account, and move yourself through the relevant workflow stages to trigger automated sends.
Routing and Inbox
Where do I find creator replies?
Replies to campaign messages are routed to that campaign's folder in the Messages inbox. Replies not associated with a campaign go to General Inquiries.
What happens to messages if a campaign is archived?
Messages remain accessible in an Archived Campaign folder in the Messages inbox.
Do creators know if I've added internal comments?
No. Internal comments are visible only to your team inside Later Influence.
