Recently, Meta announced they will be deprecating the Instagram Basic Display API. This change will impact any platforms that require Instagram authentication, including Later Influence™ (formerly Mavrck).
After this change takes place, any creators you work with will need to have a creator or business Instagram profile (not a personal profile) in order to apply to your Later Influence campaigns, if you select Instagram as one of your required accounts.
If you’re working with creators who use personal Instagram profiles, that’s okay—you can still collaborate, there are just a few extra considerations to keep in mind. These are covered below.
Don’t Require Instagram on Campaign Applications
In order to allow creators with personal Instagram profiles to apply to your campaigns, you must not have Instagram as a required account type on your campaign application.
Requiring Instagram as an account type for your campaign will effectively block creators with personal profiles from being able to apply.
Instead, set Instagram as an optional account, keeping in mind that creators using personal profiles will have to manually self-report content instead (see below).
Personal Profiles Need to Self-Report
Instead of connecting their Instagram profile through the campaign manager for automatic data collection, creators using personal profiles will have to manually self-report any content metrics. This is because Instagram’s API does not allow automatic collection of content and metrics from personal profiles.

[Optional] Recommend Creators Switch to a Business Profile
Switching to a business or creator Instagram profile is beneficial for both you and your creators. If they’re open to it, we suggest encouraging your creators to consider switching to a business or creator profile.
This eliminates the need to self-report content, among other benefits (such as more advanced analytics and access to features within Later Social™).
