To get the most out of your influencer searches, there are a number of different types of queries you can use to find influencers in our database.
AI Search
Later Influence™ (formerly Mavrck)’s search function is powered by OpenAI* to uncover more valuable results. This means that when you search for a term, the platform will automatically broaden your search to cover related terms and include them in your results. This saves time by preventing the need to perform separate searches for closely-related queries.
- e.g. If you search for “Los Angeles”, the platform will automatically expand your search to include relevant surrounding cities such as Santa Monica, Irvine, Calabasas, etc.
Note: If you don’t want your searches to be powered by AI, simply click the magic wand icon to the right of the search bar to disable it. You can re-enable it at any time.
* Does not apply to similar search or searches containing multiple keywords.
Frequently Asked Questions
How can I use AI Search?
In the Influencer tab of the platform, click the magic wand button to the right of the search bar to enable AI Search:
Then, use the search bar to look for keywords, hashtags, account handles, or emojis and your searches will be powered by AI!
Can I shut off AI Search?
Yes—click the magic wand button to the right of the search bar to disable AI Search. It can be toggled on or off at any time via the same button. If disabled, the platform won’t automatically expand upon your search term; only the query you enter will be used.
How does AI expand my search?
Later Influence utilizes OpenAI to find recommended related terms for your search. The algorithm will search an additional 5 keywords, 5 hashtags, and 5 emojis to surface relevant creators for your brand.
What content is the platform using to search?
We use publicly available Instagram bios and post captions to look for your search term and the expanded keywords, hashtags, and emojis.
If I use multiple keywords in the same search, will it add to the amount of related terms?
No—if you enter multiple search terms, it will override the algorithm and prioritize the multiple keywords you selected instead. If your search term is a multi-word phrase, contain it in double quotes for it to be considered a single term (e.g. “certified nutritionist”).
Can I see and edit the related terms that the algorithm is using to expand the search?
No—at this time, the additional search terms are not viewable or editable.
Can I select the cities I want the search to include?
No—at this time, it is not possible to select specific surrounding cities for a location search. The algorithm uses logic to determine the most relevant locations nearest to your selected city.
Why is the number of results different for the same search?
The number of results may vary for the same search because the algorithm is deciding the best keywords and hashtags to add to your initial search. The keywords might change slightly for a new search leading to small changes in the number of results.
Keywords and Locations
Search for keywords included in influencer bios or in the tagged locations of their posts.
-
Keywords
- Type the word as is without any quotes (e.g. nutritionist).
- Place double quotes around the keyword for multi-word phrases (e.g. "certified nutritionist").
- Add a space between words/phrases to search for different keywords.
-
Post locations
- Type the location without quotes if it is a single word (e.g. Boston).
- For locations with multiple words, place double quotes around the phrase (e.g. “New York City”).
Hashtags, Mentions, and Emojis
Search for hashtags and mentions used in influencer bios and captions.
Hashtags and mentions are "or" searches.
- e.g. Searching "#nutrition #food" will return influencers who have used #nutrition or #food.
When searching for hashtags and mentions at the same time, the platform will search for at least one hashtag and at least one mention
- e.g. Searching "#food @latermedia" will return influencers who have used #food at least once and @latermedia at least once.
Search modifications
Search modifications can be used with hashtags, mentions, emojis, or keywords. For best results, ensure that results are sorted by Relevance.
