There are some occasions that require influencers to self-report their content and metrics to a campaign. The need to self-report can arise when an influencer doesn't include the campaign's binding hashtag, or their account is not connected properly, or the content is a type that cannot be bound automatically.
Requests for influencers to self-report content must come from inside Later Influence.
Create a Message Template
To start, create a message template inside of your campaign as follows:
- Open the Setup tab of the relevant campaign
- Select Message Templates in the left sidebar menu
- Select the + button at the bottom of the page.
- Paste the text from the box below in the message template.
- Highlight the line Click here to upload content
- Select the merge tag button shown in the screenshot below
- Select Self-Report Content Link to insert the merge tag link into the highlighted sentence

To do so, simply click the link below, upload your content, and submit the appropriate metrics for your content type.

Send the Message
Once the template is crafted, follow the instructions below to send your message:
- Open the Workflow tab of the campaign
- Select the relevant influencers using the checkboxes
- Select Send Message
- Select the relevant message template from the dropdown
- Alternatively, write a new message and insert the merge tag
Note: If you are already sending influencers a link to the campaign manager (Campaign Details merge tag), influencers can access the self-report content link from the Content Deliverables section.
