Copying a campaign carries over the most time-consuming setup elements — particularly message templates — so you don't have to rebuild everything from scratch for similar campaigns.
Copy a Campaign
- In Later Influence, open the campaign you want to copy
- Select the ellipsis icon in the campaign header
- Select Duplicate
- Review or edit the campaign name and description
- Select Duplicate Campaign
The copy opens as a new Draft campaign.
What Carries Over
- Campaign name (prefixed with "Copy of")
- Campaign description
- Message templates, including delivery settings and merge tags
- Workflow stage configuration (previously disabled default stages can be re-enabled)
- Application title, image, and description
Merge tags that reference influencer-facing links are automatically updated to use the correct campaign ID in the new campaign. Merge tags for tracking links, promo codes, and product tracking numbers are deleted and replaced with placeholders, since those elements aren't copied. A red error message appears in the Message Templates section of the new campaign to prompt you to update any placeholders before sending.
What Doesn't Carry Over
- Incentive setup
- Influencer deliverables
- Application survey questions
- Other application customizations not listed above
Avoid Manually Copying Message Template Content
Don't copy and paste message template text between campaigns. Merge tags that reference campaign-specific elements — tracking links, promo codes, product tracking numbers — won't work when pasted into a different campaign. Instead, use the Duplicate feature, which handles merge tag updates automatically.
