To streamline campaign creation, you may wish to create copies of an existing campaign.
Copying a campaign carries over the most time-consuming elements of campaign setup, including message template customization. However, some elements of campaign setup must be re-configured in the new campaign each time a campaign is copied to ensure proper setup.
- Open the campaign you wish to copy.
- Click the ... icon in the campaign header.
- Select Copy Campaign.
- Review or edit the campaign name and description and click Finish.
What is copied to the new campaign:
- Campaign name (New campaigns titled "Copy of Original name")
- Campaign description
- Message templates, including delivery settings and merge tags
- Merge tags that populate as influencer-facing links are automatically updated to contain the correct campaign ID in the new campaign.
- Merge tags for tracking links, promo code incentives, and product tracking numbers are deleted and replaced with placeholders in the new campaign, because the elements of the campaign setup that they reference are not copied. A red error message is displayed in the message templates section of the new campaign to prompt you to update placeholders.
- Workflow stage configuration
- Default workflow stages that were disabled in the original campaign can be enabled in the new campaign.
- Application title, image, and description
- Incentive setup
- Influencer deliverables setup
- Application survey questions
- Application customizations not listed above
Manually copying message templates between campaigns
To ensure that all merge tags work properly, please avoid copying the contents of message templates from one campaign to another.
Merge tags that reference an element of campaign setup will not work when they are copy-pasted from one campaign into another. These merge tags include: tracking links, promo code incentives, and product tracking numbers.
