An incentive is any type of payment or gift provided to influencers for their participation in a campaign.
Later Influence™ (formerly Mavrck) offers integrations to create and fulfill incentives without leaving the platform: PayPal and Stripe for cash payments and Tango Card for digital gift cards.
Each time an incentive is fulfilled using an integration, a transaction is created in the payment provider's system.
This article provides details and step-by-step instructions to manage transactions. For a general overview of integration functionality, please see Incentive Integrations.
In this article:
Transaction Overview
Each time an incentive is fulfilled using an integration, a transaction is created in the payment provider's system.
Transactions are separate entities from the incentives they are related to, with additional details and distinct statuses.
When a payment transaction is complete, real funds are withdrawn from the connected payment account and delivered to the influencer.
Transaction Types
There are five types of transactions, which are created in the following ways:
- Cash Payment: Created when a PayPal or Stripe incentive is fulfilled.
- Gift Card Payment: Created when a Tango Card incentive is fulfilled.
- Refund: Created when the status of a PayPal or Stripe transaction is Failed.
- Funds Increase & Funds Decrease: Created when an administrator edits the balance of Available Funds in Later Influence. No money is moved between accounts, but the amount of funds that can be fulfilled through Later Influence is changed. See Available Funds for additional detail.
Transaction Statuses
All transactions include a transaction status, distinct from the fulfillment status of the related incentive
Transactions associated with Tango Card incentives, balance changes, and refunds always have the status Complete. No transaction of this type is created if it cannot be completed.
Transactions associated with PayPal or Stripe incentives may have the status Pending, Complete, or Failed. For more information see PayPal Transaction Details or Stripe Incentives.
Transactions Tab
The Transactions tab features a ledger of all transactions, including payments, refunds, and balance changes.
Located within the Incentives tab of the main menu, the Transactions tab is only visible when an incentive integration is enabled.
