Application questions give you a structured way to learn about creators as they apply to your campaigns. Instead of relying on one-off conversations or scattered notes, their responses are saved as Influencer Properties on their profile. This creates a consistent, reliable dataset you can filter, compare, and reuse across campaigns.
By turning subjective outreach into structured, filterable data, application questions help you:
- Identify the right creators faster: target by niche, audience demographics, product fit, or past brand experience.
- Strengthen campaign reporting: consistent, comparable insights make ROI easier to measure and share.
- Ensure eligibility and compliance: confirm qualifications upfront (e.g., product usage, clothing size) before committing to collaboration.
Adding Questions to a Campaign Application
- Open the Setup tab of your campaign.
- Select the Application sub-tab.
- Scroll to the Application Survey section.
- Click + Add a Question.
- To reuse an existing property, select it from your saved list.
- To create a new property, select Create New Question and complete:
- Internal name (e.g., shoe size).
- Question (e.g., “What shoe size would you like to receive?”).
- Type: multiple-choice, checkbox, freeform text, number or image
- Supported image formats for survey questions are JPG, PNG, or TIF (max 20MB, 800 × 800px)
- Merge tag checkbox (optional) → creates a merge tag for messages (e.g., “Your sneakers in {{shoeSize}} have shipped!”).
- Click the Create Question to save.
Viewing Creator Responses
To see a creator’s answer to your questions:
- Click their profile image to open their profile.
- Select the Actions tab from the three-dots menu.
- Responses are displayed under Influencer Properties.
Responses can be edited manually by you (via the pencil icon). Creators can also update their own responses through their application in Later Social.
How Answers are Stored
Each response is saved as a property on the creator’s profile in My Members. Properties are reusable across campaigns — once a creator answers, that data persists.
To manage properties:
- Go to Settings → Influencer Properties.
- Edit, add, archive, or reactivate properties as needed.
Filtering by Influencer Properties
Filtering by Influencer Properties lets you narrow down your creator pool based on the survey responses you’ve collected. For example, if you asked “Have you tried our product before?” you can filter only those who answered Yes.
How to filter by Influencer Properties:
- Open the relevant campaign
- Navigate to the Search or Workflow section
- At the top of the screen, click Demographics
- Scroll to the Influencer Properties section
- Select one or more properties to apply as filters.
- For multiple-choice or checkbox properties, you can pick specific options (e.g., “Yes” or “Instagram + TikTok”).
- The results update automatically to show only the creators who meet those criteria.
Exporting Property Data
You can export property data in two ways:
- Workflow exports → Always include responses from that campaign’s application.
- Incentives tab exports → Choose which properties to include.
Best Practices
- Use checkboxes and multiple-choice whenever possible — ensures data is structured and filterable.
- Add merge tags to key survey questions for automated emails (e.g., {{shoeSize}}, {{productPreference}}).
- Reuse properties across campaigns to avoid data silos.
