Later Influence offers several ways to manage legal agreements with creators — from standard platform Terms of Use to campaign-specific contracts and optional e-signatures. This article explains what each option covers, how it works, and what records are available for compliance purposes.
Platform Terms of Use
All creators who join your program must agree to Later Social's Terms of Use. These appear as "Terms of Service" in the application and confirmation flow.
Later Influence stores the following for each agreement:
- Creator's name and global user ID
- Date and time of agreement
- Link to the document they agreed to
These records can be provided on request and constitute an audit trail of creator compliance.
Program-Level Influencer Agreement
You can add a custom program-level agreement that all creators must accept before participating in any campaign. This is configured in Settings → Privacy and Legal.
Program-level agreements apply across your entire program — every creator who applies to any campaign will be shown the agreement.
Campaign-Specific Terms of Service
In addition to the program-level agreement, you can add terms of service specific to an individual campaign. Campaign-specific terms appear on the campaign application alongside any program-level documents.
To add campaign-specific terms:
- In Later Influence, open your campaign and select the Setup tab
- Select the Application sub-tab
- Scroll to the Campaign Terms of Service section
- Upload or link your document
Contract and E-Signature Options
If you need creators to sign a formal contract before participating, Later Influence supports this through two options:
External contracts: share contract documents with creators through the campaign brief or message templates, and collect signatures outside the platform (for example, via DocuSign or HelloSign).
In-platform document display: upload legal documents to the program-level or campaign-specific terms sections. Creators must acknowledge them before applying or confirming participation. The platform stores the acknowledgment record.
Note: Later Influence does not natively integrate with e-signature tools. External signature collection and record-keeping remain the responsibility of your team.
Compliance Records
Later Influence stores agreement acceptance records for platform Terms of Use and uploaded program/campaign documents. These records are available on request for audit or compliance purposes.
Platform Terms of Use (Default)
Later Influence stores:
- Influencer’s name
- Global user ID
- Date and time of agreement
- Link to the document they agreed to
These records can be provided on request, giving you an audit trail of influencer compliance.
Influencer Agreement (Program-Level, Customizable)
If you want creators to agree to your own program-wide terms, you can configure an Influencer Agreement:
- Applies program/instance-wide → All influencers must agree before participating in campaigns.
- Template provided → You’ll receive a sample agreement during onboarding.
- Setup support → Your Customer Success Manager (CSM) helps configure this.
- Legal review → Strongly recommended that your legal team reviews and approves.
-
Hosting options → Agreements can be hosted either:
- On Later Influence’s default domain
- On your own branded domain (recommended)
If your team handles influencer contracts outside Later Influence, this agreement can be disabled so it doesn’t appear in the application flow.
To set up:
- Go to Settings → Privacy and Legal
- Turn on Require In-Platform Influencer Agreement
- Paste the URL for your hosted agreement file
- Save changes
Influencers will be required to confirm this agreement during the Confirmation stage of their first campaign.
Campaign-Specific Terms of Service (Optional)
You may need to include additional legal requirements unique to a specific campaign (e.g., contest rules, special usage rights). These appear as “Program Terms” to influencers.
Campaign-specific terms must be:
- Hosted on your own website or domain
- Linked in the campaign setup under Privacy & Legal
To set up Campaign-Specific Terms:
- Go to the relevant campaign → select Setup
- Select Application
- Paste the URL for your hosted agreement file
- Save changes
Best Practices
- Always have your legal team review Influencer Agreements and contracts.
- Use a branded domain for hosting agreements to reinforce trust.
- If handling contracts outside Later Influence, work with your CSM to disable duplicate agreements.
