An incentive is any type of payment or reward provided to influencers for their participation in a campaign.
Incentive functionality enables you to easily manage the different forms of payment you may provide, and to calculate campaign costs and cost-based performance metrics, like cost per engagement (CPE) and cost per 1,000 impressions (CPM).
Incentive Setup Methods
Incentives are created within campaigns and are always associated with a specific influencer.
There are three general ways to set up incentives.
- Campaign-level: Create the same incentives for all influencers in the campaign.
- Influencer-specific: Create individual incentives for specific influencers.
- Rates: Create individual incentives automatically, in an amount quoted by each influencer.

Campaign-level: Create the same incentives for all influencers in the campaign.
If all the influencers participating in a campaign will receive the same incentive, it can be added during campaign setup. An incentive is created for each influencer as they are added to the campaign.
- Create a new campaign or navigate to the relevant campaign, which must be in Draft mode.
- Open the Setup tab of the campaign.
- Open the Incentives page.
- Click the + icon in the bottom right corner.
- Select the incentive type.
- Complete the setup form following on-screen instructions.
- Click Save.
Influencer-specific: Create individual incentives for specific influencers.
Individual incentives can be added to specific influencers participating in campaigns, in addition to campaign-level incentives or instead of them.
- Navigate to the relevant campaign, which may be in Live, Paused, or Draft mode.
- Open the Workflow tab of the campaign.
- Locate the relevant influencer within the workflow.
- Open the influencer's campaign details by clicking the arrow icon to the right of their name.
- Open the Incentives tab of their campaign details.
- Click the + Add Incentive button.
- Select the incentive type.
- Complete the setup form following on-screen instructions.
- Click Save.
Rates: Create individual incentives automatically, in the amount quoted by each applicant.
The Rate & Concept features require influencers to submit their rate and/or concept for the campaign when they apply. A cash incentive is created for each applicant in the amount they quoted.
- Enable the Rate and/or Concept features on the campaign application.
- Select a cash incentive fulfillment option: PayPal, Stripe, or offline.
- Collect applications from influencers.
- Review applications, including rates and/or concepts.
- Negotiate rates and update incentive amounts, if needed.

Incentive setup fields
All incentive types can be created using the methods outlined above, but the specific information on the incentive setup form varies for each incentive type. See the Incentive Types section for details on each incentive type's specific setup form.
Fulfillment
The Fulfillment field is included for all incentive types. The Fulfillment field automates the process of "Readying" incentives, which is a prerequisite for them to be fulfilled.
When influencers enter the workflow stage selected in the Fulfillment field, their incentives are automatically set to the Ready fulfillment status.
The Fulfillment field is optional. If your workflow does not include the default payment stages or you wish to Ready incentives manually, leave the Fulfillment field empty.

Cost and Value
Some incentive types include fields for both the retail value and the actual cost of an item. If you are sending products or offline gift cards, the cost to you is typically lower than the retail value.
When an incentive has both a cost and a value, only the cost is used for cost-reporting purposes.
