Managing legal agreements with creators is a critical part of running compliant campaigns. Later Influence offers multiple ways to handle Terms of Use, program-level agreements, campaign-specific terms, and optional contracts or e-signatures.
This guide explains what each option means, how they work in the platform, and what records are available for compliance and audit purposes.
Platform Terms of Use (Default)
Later Influence stores:
- Influencer’s name
- Global user ID
- Date and time of agreement
- Link to the document they agreed to
These records can be provided on request, giving you an audit trail of influencer compliance.
Influencer Agreement (Program-Level, Customizable)
If you want creators to agree to your own program-wide terms, you can configure an Influencer Agreement:
- Applies program/instance-wide → All influencers must agree before participating in campaigns.
- Template provided → You’ll receive a sample agreement during onboarding.
- Setup support → Your Customer Success Manager (CSM) helps configure this.
- Legal review → Strongly recommended that your legal team reviews and approves.
-
Hosting options → Agreements can be hosted either:
- On Later Influence’s default domain
- On your own branded domain (recommended)
If your team handles influencer contracts outside Later Influence, this agreement can be disabled so it doesn’t appear in the application flow.
To set up:
- Go to Settings → Privacy and Legal
- Turn on Require In-Platform Influencer Agreement
- Paste the URL for your hosted agreement file
- Save changes
Influencers will be required to confirm this agreement during the Confirmation stage of their first campaign.
Campaign-Specific Terms of Service (Optional)
You may need to include additional legal requirements unique to a specific campaign (e.g., contest rules, special usage rights). These appear as “Program Terms” to influencers.
Campaign-specific terms must be:
- Hosted on your own website or domain
- Linked in the campaign setup under Privacy & Legal
To set up Campaign-Specific Terms:
- Go to the relevant campaign → select Setup
- Select Application
- Paste the URL for your hosted agreement file
- Save changes
Best Practices
- Always have your legal team review Influencer Agreements and contracts.
- Use a branded domain for hosting agreements to reinforce trust.
- If handling contracts outside Later Influence, work with your CSM to disable duplicate agreements.
