Message templates: Personalization at scale
How it connects
Message templates are tied directly to workflow stages. When a creator enters a stage, a related message can be sent manually or automatically.
Benefits
- Save time – no need to draft one-off reminders for every creator.
- Consistency – ensures tone, instructions, and branding stay uniform.
- Accuracy – merge tags pull in personalized data (e.g., due dates, names, links) without errors.
How to set it up
- Go to Campaign Setup → Message Templates.
- Edit an existing template or select + Add Template.
- Customize the subject and content.
- Add merge tags like {{first_name}} or {{draft_due_date}}

- Choose the send method:
- Automatic: Stage Entry – sends when a creator enters a stage.
- Automatic: Date Based – sends based on a deliverable due date or a specific date.
- Manual – you select the creators and trigger the send yourself.
- Choose the relevant Campaign Stage
- Save the template.
- Test by promoting a creator through the relevant workflow stage to confirm the message triggers correctly.
Campaign applications links: Streamline intake
How it connects
The Invited and Applied stages must be enabled for applications to work. When creators receive an invite or apply to the campaign through the link, they are automatically moved into these stages.

- Centralized review – all applications flow into the Applied stage.

How to set it up
- In Campaign Setup → Application, customize the title, description, image, and required information.
- Enable Invited + Applied in Workflow Stages.
- Share the application link via invitations, social posts, or your website.
- Review creators in the Applied stage and promote or drop them.
Automatic tracking with content binding
How it connects
Later Influence tracks content automatically once creators reach the Participants or Complete phases.
Note: Deliverable edits only apply to creators in the Candidates phase. Move someone back to an earlier workflow stage if you need to update their deliverables.

- Accurate reporting – all posts tied directly to deliverables.
- Time saved – automatic binding removes the need for manual checks.
- Flexibility – manual binding available for exceptions.
How to set it up
- Assign deliverables in Campaign Setup → Deliverables.
- Ensure creators are in Participants (e.g., Confirmation, Draft, Content Creation).
- Later automatically binds eligible posts once they’re published.
- For missing posts, creators can upload manually.
Incentives: Payment tied to campaign progress
How it connects
Incentives can be linked to workflow stages like Pre-Payment and Post-Payment. Fulfilling an incentive automatically moves the creator forward.
Note: Incentives can be fulfilled for any creator past Candidates, including those in Dropped.
Benefits
- Streamlined fulfillment – no separate payment tracker needed.
- Transparency – clear record of which creators have been paid.
- Flexibility – support for cash, gift cards, products, promo codes.
How to set it up
- In Campaign Setup → Incentives, add your incentive types.
- Enable Pre-Payment and/or Post-Payment in Workflow Stages.
- When ready, fulfill incentives directly in the workflow.
- The creator will auto-promote once the incentive is marked complete.
Tracking links: Drive conversions
How it connects
Unique tracking links are generated for each creator when they move past the Applied stage into Participants. These links let you track clicks (and conversions, if configured) for posts, swipe-ups, and other shares.
Benefits
- Performance insight – measure campaign impact beyond impressions.
- Flexibility – track clicks to multiple destinations in the same campaign.
- Creator-friendly – links are visible to creators once generated and can be shared directly.
How to set it up
- In Setup → Deliverables, select + Add Deliverable → Tracking Link.
- Enter a name and destination URL (must include http:// or https://).
- Later auto-generates unique links when creators are promoted into Participants
Opt-In control with membership
How it connects
Membership isn’t tied directly to workflow, but it governs progress: non-members cannot move past Applied. Creators become members when they apply or log in.
Tip: Dropping a creator doesn’t remove their membership, and removing membership doesn’t drop them from active campaigns.

- Controlled access – only opted-in members can participate.
- Automatic growth – every application grows your member base.
- Clarity – ensures you’re only working with creators who have agreed to participate.
How to set it up
- Creators become members by applying to a campaign or logging in.
- Track members in My Members Database.
- Configure your workflow with Applied → Confirmation to gate participation.
Reporting: Accurate completion
How it connects
Creators only enter Complete once all deliverables and incentives are fulfilled. If Post Review or Post-Payment are skipped, creators move directly from Content Creation → Complete.
Tip: Decide which stages to enable before launching — skipping Post Review or Post-Payment speeds things up but reduces oversight.

- Consistent reporting – every creator ends in Complete.
- Accurate data – only finalized campaigns are included.
- Flexibility – you choose if you want review/payment checkpoints.
How to set it up
- In Workflow Stages, decide if Post Review or Post-Payment are needed.
