A binding hashtag is the hashtag that the platform looks for when determining which content should be automatically pulled into a specific campaign.
We strongly recommend using a unique binding hashtag for each live campaign so that the platform can easily identify and pull in the correct content to the correct campaign.
Your binding hashtag can be anything from a creative campaign-theme hashtag to a hashtag that helps identify the product they are promoting. This campaign-specific hashtag has the additional benefit of allowing the audience of your influencers to use the hashtag to click out to see the rest of the campaign-specific content created, ultimately increasing the awareness of your campaign.
While each campaign will only have one binding hashtag, you can always include additional required hashtags or mentions in your Posting Instructions message template.
Note: If you would like to change the binding hashtag once your campaign is live, you must pause the campaign first to do so.
If the binding hashtag is changed after creators have already been accepted into the campaign past the candidate's phase (Candidates Stage, Invited Stage, Applied Stage, Deliverables stage), move them back to the Candidates phase before editing the binding hashtag, then move them back to their correct stage.
If the binding hashtag is changed after content has already been pulled in, the content that was pulled in from the previous binding hashtag will remain in the platform. Once updated, new content will be pulled in based on the new binding hashtag that you’ve chosen.
