The platform provides two primary methods of communication between brands and influencers: email messaging and the influencer campaign manager (ICM).
Brands can send and receive emails in Later Influence™ (formerly Mavrck), allowing them to track messages alongside other campaign activities. Brands can also enable the ICM, which provides you with all campaign details and tasks on one mobile-friendly page.
Receiving Emails from Brands
Emails from brands are sent to the contact email on your profile. If you also have your talent manager’s email included in your profile, they will be automatically CC’d on all bulk and individual messages sent from the platform.
- Member profiles: If you've opted-in to work with a brand, your contact email is the address you entered on the application form or updated in the ICM.
- Global profiles: If a brand discovers your profile in the Influencer Index, your contact email is the address you entered when you joined the Influencer Index or the one that was publicly available on your profile.
The "From" address on emails sent through Later Influence is customizable by each brand. By default, each brand is assigned an address in the format of BrandName@brandmail.co. Brands can also set up an address using their own domain, like Hello@Influencers.Brand.com. To ensure you never miss a message from a campaign, we recommend adding brand emails to your contacts.
Emails from brands may be template messages, sent in bulk, or individually composed for you. In the process of a typical campaign, you may receive some or all of the messages described below.
Campaign process | Example subject line |
Invitation | Invitation to apply! |
Confirmation | You're accepted! Confirm participation |
Draft Review or Content Creation | Posting Instructions |
Draft Review | You've received feedback on your draft submission |
Completion | Thanks for your post! |
Automated Emails
During the course of a campaign, you may receive automated, non-customized messages at two points.
Confirm your email address
When you log-in via email for the first time, you'll receive an automated email to confirm your address. Open the link in the email to continue. You must confirm your email each time you work with a new brand.
Subject line: Please confirm your email address
Expired Instagram access
When your Instagram account connection expires while you are participating in a campaign that requires Instagram, you'll receive reminders to reconnect your account to ensure that your content and metrics can be tracked automatically. Open the link in the email to continue and reconnect your account.
Subject line: Expired Instagram access for [Brand] collaboration
Sending Emails to Brands
The best way to reach the team running a specific campaign is to reply to an email they sent. By replying to a message sent from the campaign, your email will appear at the top of the brand's inbox in Later Influence.
You can also email a campaign directly using the address they've contacted you with, however, messages that you start in new threads are routed to a non-campaign folder where they may not be seen by the brand right away.
Influencer Campaign Manager (ICM)
Brands can choose to enable or disable the ICM for each campaign.
If you're participating in a campaign that utilizes the ICM, you will receive access when you confirm your participation or when the brand sends you a direct link.
The ICM includes the following sections, from top to bottom of the page:
- Next Steps: Actions you need to take as you go through the campaign process are highlighted when applicable.
-
Header: Deliverables, hashtags, and due dates are easily accessible in the header.
-
Campaign Details: The brand's custom brief for the campaign, which may include guidelines, inspiration, do's and don'ts, or similar content
-
Content Deliverables: The list of content types required to complete the campaign, each with a status indicating if you have met the deliverable.
-
Social Accounts: The account connection module, where you can view and manage your social accounts.
- Application Questions: Your responses to any survey questions included on the campaign application form, which can be updated.
-
Contact Information: Your profile information for the specific brand, which can be updated and includes access to an unsubscribe link.
